Hotel, bed and breakfast, rental, camping - the types of accommodation are as numerous as they are varied. While our Hôtel Chateaubriand is positioned as an all-comfort hotel in Saint-Malo, you may be tempted by a different formula. We've listed the four main categories of accommodation that may be of interest to you.
THE HOTEL
Whether in Brittany or elsewhere, a hotel remains the most essential accommodation solution. Like many others in its line, our hotel in Saint-Malo is subject to strict conditions. Hotels are classified by the French Ministry of Tourism, and meet stringent quality and comfort criteria.
Opting for a hotel also means choosing a pleasant private room with a beautiful view. Last but not least, an overnight stay in a hotel will allow you to benefit from attractive services such as breakfast, luggage storage and much more.
LE GÎTE
Whether furnished houses or apartments, gîtes offer the opportunity to travel to any part of France while enjoying a certain degree of privacy. Furnished, self-catering accommodation can sometimes include a kitchen, shower room, WC and several private bedrooms.
It's worth noting that some gîtes are certified by specific organizations, which award them a comfort level ranging from 1 to 5. This rating scale can be compared to the stars awarded to hotels.
THE GUEST ROOM
As is the case at our hotel restaurant in Saint-Malo, breakfast is often included in the price of a night's stay in a bed & breakfast. Meals are taken in a common room with the other occupants. Bed & breakfasts are renowned for their warm welcome and friendly approach, allowing guests to stay in their own homes.
THE CAMPSITE
Certainly less comfortable than all the above-mentioned accommodation solutions, camping nevertheless remains a means of staying close to nature. What's more, camping prices are particularly affordable. Like hotels, the quality of a campsite is also expressed in terms of the number of stars it has. However, we strongly advise against camping in winter!
OTHER ACCOMMODATION
Other alternatives to hotels include youth hostels, where guests share rooms and common areas with other residents. There are also vacation homes, where you can rent an apartment in popular tourist resorts!
